JR East will be issuing a new pass for foreign visitors named “JR TOKYO Wide Pass” from November 19. This new pass will be replacing the current JR Kanto Area Pass. In addition to the stations that was covered by JR Kanto Area Pass, JR TOKYO Wide Pass will cover the Rinkai Line and Echigo Yuzawa station and Gala Yuzawa stations on Joetsu Shinkansen.
While JR TOKYO Wide Pass will be available from November 19, JR Kanto Area Pass will be available only until December 18. The price of the new pass will be slightly increased. (JR Kanto Area Pass: Adult 8300 yen, Child 4200 yen)
