Starting this September, Seven Eleven Convenience store will begin to offer telephone interpreting service to support the communication between the store staff and the increasing foreign customers that do not speak the same language. The telephone interpreting service will be available in Chinese and English. In the future, Korean and Spanish may be available.
Seven Eleven convenience store has various foreign tourists friendly services such as tax-free shopping, ATM that accepts foreign issued credit cards, and free wi-fi. Recently, more foreign tourists come to the store not only to shop but for different purposes such as to print photos using the printing machine, and to issue tickets from the ticketing machines. Since the machines are not multilingual, telephone interpreting service may be helpful when customers have any inquiries and difficulties navigating the machines.
