1.World Cosplay Summit

World Cosplay Summit is the world’s largest cosplay festival that has been held annually in Nagoya since 2003. Cosplayers from all over the world gather for this event and enjoy not only cosplay but also international culture exchange. The highlight of the event is “Cosplay Championship” where representative cosplayers from more than 20 countries compete for the best performance and cosplay.

2. Wonder Festival

Wonder Festival is a model kit event where amateur and professional figure makers display and sell their works. Top skilled makers’ works will be exhibited in the “Wonder Showcase”.

3. Comic Market 94

Known as Comiket, Comic Market is the most well known otaku event where circle participants sell their dojinshi (self-published magazines, manga or novels) and many more anime related items. There will be many cosplayers around the venue. Changing rooms are provided for the cosplayers inside the venue.

Free, however, visitors are strongly recommended to purchase the catalog. The catalog is sold for 2,000 yen at the venue.

4. C3AFATOKYO 2018

C3AFATOKYO 2018 is the largest entertainment events held in Japan that bring together the culture of “hobby”, which refers to pastic model building, cosplay, figures and etc. and “characters”. Many entertainment companies will be displaying and selling their latest products while amateurs will be selling their copyrighted works in C3 Market (ex.Chara Hobby Market). C3 Market is held only on the 28th. Cosplayers will be able to take photos in many different settings in the studio for free.

5. Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair 2018

The largest manga and anime trade fair held in West Japan also called “Kyo-maf”. Many manga and anime-related companies and organizations gather to show and sell their recent products. Some shows and events are going to be held as well. This fair is going to be held in three different venues. The website will be available in English and other languages soon.
