Starting the end of this month and by the end of this year, all N’EX trains will have free wi-fi service available for the passengers.
N’EX, the express train connecting Narita airport and the cities, is used by many foreign visitors. The current wi-fi service on the train is only for the subscribers of certain services, which made it difficult for tourists to use. Free wi-fi on N’EX will be certainly convenient for tourists.
Moreover, starting March 25, JR will increase the number of stations with free wi-fi spots. At the moment, 41 stations have free wi-fi including all stations on Yamanote line such as Shibuya, Shinjuku, Harajuku, and Akihabara stations. In addition to these, 47 stations that are frequently visited by foreign visitors such as Kamakura, Asakusabashi, and Ryogoku stations will be providing free wi-fi.
