The latest Cherry Blossom Forecast has been published by Japan Weather Association today.
According to the forecast published today, the cherry blossoms will likely to start blooming few days earlier than anticipated in the last forecast published in February. Compared to other years, the flowers will bloom about 3 to 7 days earlier in most parts of Japan and about 3 days in Hokkaido region.
The chart below shows the estimated dates when the flowers reach peak bloom in major cities. Once the flower buds open, it takes about a week for them to reach full bloom.
