However, it might be difficult to distinguish if the food is really vegetarian or not since Japanese cuisine often contain “dashi,” which is fish stock. There are some vegetarian and vegan restaurants in Tokyo but most of them are located at a kind of place you need a map to get to. Conveniently located inside Tokyo station, T’s Tantan offers delicious vegan ramen and other dishes. Their first shop, T’s Restaurant is located in Jiyugaoka.
