The World’s Largest Festival of Sake and Moe! (Sep. 27)

A festival combining the Japanese rice wine Sake and “moe”, which is a slang word basically refers to feelings of affection and excitement felt towards manga and anime characters, are happening this Sunday on the 27th in Akihabara!

Moe-shu Summit x Sake Matsuri 2015 (Moe-shu: “shu” refers to sake, Matsuri: means festival) will be held at Bellsalle Akihabara on the 27th, Sunday, from 11am to 6pm. At the event, there will be various sake sellers from all parts of Japan. Many of the sake brands will be offering to taste with a fee. To do the tasting, visitors are required to purchase the original tasting cup sold at the venue for 200 yen.

There will be many sake and other alcoholic beverages with “moe” characters on the packages. Surely, there will be items that are only available in Japan.
