Revalue Nippon Project: Hidetoshi Nakata’s Favorite Japanese KOGEI(Apr.9-Jun.5)

Former Japanese soccer player Hidetoshi Nakata has been working on the project “REVALUE NIPPON PROJECT” for more than 5 years. Through this project, he hopes to rediscover the value of Japanese crafts(KOGIEI) and various traditional Japanese culture and to create the opportunities for the public to learn about them. He hopes the project will ensure the valuable Japanese culture to be passed down and developed even further.

The exhibition “Revalue Nippon Project: Hidetoshi Nakata’s Favorite Japanese KOGEI” is going to be held at Panasonic Shiodome Museum from April 9th to June 5. The exhibition will include ceramics, washi(Japanese paper), bamboo works, katagami (stencils used to print patters on kimono), and urushi(lacquerware).
