With the year end coming around the corner, the weather in Tokyo is getting colder and colder. In the winter season, nothing is more suitable for the title of winter soul food than Nabe, which means hot pot in Japanese. Maybe you’ve already heard about Sukiyaki or Shabu-shabu, both of which are the most common Nabe dishes. A Nabe dish can have many kinds of fresh vegetable, meat and any other ingredients you like stewed in flavored hot soup. Having Nabe dishes keeps you warm from inside and take away the winter chill.
The Third Japanese Local Nabe Dishes Festival will be held this year in Hibiya Park, Tokyo. Even the weather is cold outside, last year this event attracted more than 120,000 people to come and have a taste of Nabe dishes from local parts of Japan. A special stage of Japanese comedy, street performance and so on will also be held at Hibiya Park during Nabe Festival. How about adding this event to your itinerary?
